This soil type has excellent physical properties, high water retention, and nutrient absorption, with an average porosity of 62-65%, creating optimal conditions for coffee growth.

  • Climate: Buon Ma Thuot enjoys a cool climate with abundant rainfall, particularly suited for Robusta coffee. The region's climate, with its well-defined wet and dry seasons, ensures a consistent and high-quality coffee harvest.

  • Buon Ma Thuot is recognized worldwide for its superior Robusta coffee. The French, after meticulously surveying the region's soil, climate, altitude, and ancient alluvial layers, established Buon Ma Thuot as a prime location for Robusta cultivation. The area's coffee plantations, including Ea Kao, Etam, Tan Lap, Tan Hoa, Tan An, Tan Loi, Cu Ebut, and districts like Cu Mgar and Krong Ana, produce beans known for their robust flavor, ideal for enhancing espresso blends.

  • Buon Ma Thuot, being one of eight first-class urban centers directly under the province and a city of strategic importance for national security, receives substantial state investment for infrastructure development and various other sectors.
